Meet Author Matt Miller
Matt Miller has been teaching, performing, and composing music for over 30 years. Matt began his study of music on trumpet at the age of 7. As a teenager, he began studying classical guitar while performing in rock bands on electric guitar. In his early 20s, he had the opportunity to play in a fusion band on bass guitar and quickly discovered that the bass would be his primary instrument moving forward.
As a performer, he has played with national artists like The Flock, Dave Matthews Band’s Jeff Coffin, Latin great Ignacio Berroa, guitar virtuoso Jeff Poland, American Standard, and the Count Basie Orchestra.
As a private music teacher, Matt provides a diverse course study that covers all styles of music. As a proficient bassist, guitarist, and trumpet player, Matt offers a unique approach to studying and applying music theory to the bass.
